Assist in the development and implementation of a student recruitment strategy with specialization in a focus area. Involves recruiting students, recording student data, and travel. Play a key role in developing and executing new student recruitment with an emphasis on the Grand Island and central Nebraska.  Area. This position requires a high level of independence and strategic decision making. Build strong relationships with local schools and community-based organizations raising the awareness of Wayne State College. Engage students through presentations and events and guide prospective students and their families through the admissions process. Travel throughout the Central Nebraska region to represent the college, manage recruitment materials, and track student data to inform and refine outreach efforts.


Examples of Work Performed: 


  1. Assist in the development of a student recruitment strategy specifically for the assigned territory.
  2. Record and analyze student data to meet recruitment goals.
  3. Report regular progress of recruitment efforts.
  4. Meet enrollment goals for assigned recruitment area.
  5. Create and maintain relationships with community-based organizations.
  6. Present the College and the Admissions profession in a positive way at all times.
  7. Represent the College to prospective students and their families in a variety of opportunities and area venues
  8. Coordinates recruitment events in the area
  9. Travel includes loading and transporting admissions materials, displays and other equipment.
  10. Regular outreach to prospective students to encourage campus visits as well as apply for admission.
  11. Assist students individually and in groups to apply for Admission and address the college admission process.
  12. Maintain regular follow-up communication with students regarding the status.
  13. Assist with summer month new student registration programs.
  14. Some Evening and weekend hours required especially during peak recruitment times.
  15. Periodic travel to the main campus in Wayne required.
  16. Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications: 


Bachelor's degree or admissions work experience.

 

Other requirements: criminal background and DMV check; valid driver's license.
