We are pleased to invite you to a Next Generation Symposium hosted by Congressman Adrian Smith focused on new pro-family tax initiatives passed last year. The event will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CT at Grand Island Central Catholic High School.
This informative event is designed for families, educators, and employers interested in learning more about recently passed tax policies and how to take full advantage of available opportunities. The forum will feature two panel discussions highlighting key topics such as tax credits, education funding options, and new programs aimed at supporting Nebraska families.
Panel 1: Delivering for Families: Inside the Working Families Tax Cuts This panel will cover topics including Trump Accounts, the Child Tax Credit, Paid Family Leave, Adoption Tax Credit, 529 Accounts, and more. Moderator: Bryan Slone, Counsel for Koley Jessen and former Assistant to the Commissioner of the IRS Panelists: Congressman Adrian Smith, senior tax writer on the House Ways and Means Committee, and Sean Clerget, Senior Principal at Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies and former Chief Tax Counsel on the House Ways and Means Committee
Panel 2: Expanding Educational Pathways This panel will focus on federal scholarship tax credits and opportunities that empower families across educational pathways. Moderator: Congressman Adrian Smith, senior tax writer on the House Ways and Means Committee Panelists: Peter Murphy, Vice President of Invest in Education Council, Lauren Gage, Director of Marketing and Outreach at Opportunity Scholarships of Nebraska, and Erin Dutter, Scholarship Programs and Business Development at FACTS Attendees will gain valuable insights into how these initiatives impact families and how to navigate the options available.
