2026 YP Award Nominations

Presented by the Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation (GIAEDC) & Chamber of Commerce's Young Professionals Group. 

Thank you for your interest in nominating a Young Professionals (YP) member or alum to be recognized as part of the 2026 YP 20th Anniversary Celebration. These awards recognize the individuals who embody the spirit of YP, make a meaningful impact on our organization and community, and help shape the future of Grand Island.

A special thank you to Five Points Bank, Chief Industries, Inc., Grand Island Regional Medical Center, and Hornady Manufacturing for sponsoring the 2026 YP 20th Anniversary Celebration. 

 

Self-nominations are not permitted. Current YP members who were recognized as part of the 2026 Top 35 Under 35 class are not eligible to receive a YP Award this year. YP alumni may be nominated for the YP Legacy Award.

We look forward to celebrating the people who have made the past 20 years of YP meaningful and those who continue to make an impact today.

Community Champion Award: Presented to a YP Member who actively serves and contributes beyond YP, demonstrating a commitment to strengthening our community and making Grand Island a better place to live, work, and grow. 

Connection Builder Award: Presented to a YP member who inspires others to get involved, welcomes new members, and helps others see the value of being part of YP. 

Rising Star Award: Presented to a YP member who has made a significant impact early in their YP involvement and demonstrates a strong commitment to personal growth, professional development, and the future of YP. 

YP Legacy Award: Presented to a YP alum whose leadership, service, and dedication have left a lasting impact on YP and the Grand Island community. This award recognizes a former member whose contributions helped shape YP and whose influence continues to inspire current and future members.
